Ron Donnelly, Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, Department of Veterans Affairs/Veterans Health Administration

Ron Donnelly is a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor who works for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Myrtle Beach, SC. Ron works in Supported Employment and specializes in working with veterans who have a primary diagnosis of Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Bi Polar Disorder, PTSD, Major Depressive Disorder or other diagnosis of psychosis. Ron provides intensive ongoing support for all veterans who express a desire to work and are seeking gainful and suitable employment.

Tania Appel, Business Devlopment Specialist, S.C. Vocational Rehabilitation

Tania Appel moved from Albany, NY to Myrtle Beach in 2005. For the first 8 years, she worked at a law firm as a paralegal and upon receiving her Master’s degree; she began working as Adjunct for Psychology at Horry Georgetown Tech.  Currently she is the Business Development Specialist for South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation. She has been with the agency for 7 years and works with various businesses throughout Horry and Georgetown Counties to educate them on the benefits of hiring people with disabilities.

Shayla Livingston, Job Placement & Training Manager

Shayla Livingston has over 12 years of management experience working within non-profit organizations. She is currently on the Job Placement and Training Manager with Palmetto Goodwill where she oversees the operation of 3 Career Opportunity Centers, located in North Myrtle Beach, Little River, and Georgetown, providing employment resources and assistance to the community. In addition, Shayla instructs Hospitality and Culinary career credentialing classes as a part of the tuition-free Train to Work Myrtle Beach Initiative in collaboration with HGTC, SC Works, Coast RTA, and the City of Myrtle Beach. 

Prior to joining Palmetto Goodwill, Shayla was the Regional Food Center Manager at Lowcountry Food Bank, and had been employed with the Food Bank for over 10 years.
