As 2018 comes to a close, I would like to a moment to say THANK YOU for allowing me to serve as your COHR President these last two years.  It has been an honor and a genuine privilege. I was afforded the opportunity to truly get to know our incomparable HR community, to learn and grow, and have some fun along the way.

I would also like to thank all of the current and past board member’s that I have had the pleasure of serving with these last couple of years.

Through their hard work, we were able to accomplish so much for you and, hopefully, increase the value of your membership :

  • And so much more!

Again – THANK YOU and please join me in congratulating our 2019 COHR President Nicole Bennett - 2019 will be our best year yet!

EXCITING NEWS! With the help from our generous members, COHR was able to exceed our donation amount from last year (almost 3x's!) and we collected over $1,100 for Fostering Hope!  Thank you everyone for your donations – your contributions will have a tremendous impact on the children of our community!  Also, a very special thank you to Member Barbara Ford with FSA, who collected almost $400 from her office to donate for the cause!  Thank you!

Problem Solving: Techniques Through Effective Communication

In any partnership or collaborative relationship, there will be issues. In this session, participants will be given several strategies to assist them through the chaotic stages of problem-solving through effective listening and strength-based language. This will be a session that requires the participants to actively engage in the problem-solving framework using strategies and skills taught.

  1. Acquire strength-based language skills
  2. Actively use effective listening techniques
  3. Use a problem-solving framework to solve and document issues
  4. Practice using effective strategies for giving critical feedback

Presented by:
